What you can expect: An intense 11-hour workshop series by the master himself on various aspects of the dance along with four nights of back to back parties at different venues each night.

Details: Pre-requisite. For most of the classes, we recommend at least completion of Level 1 Salsa and social dancing exposure, thou we will have at least one open-level section for all. Classes labelled Open Level may be attended by dancers of multiple levels. Intermediate Level classes assume a firm grasp of Level 1 fundamentals. No background is required for the Beginner Level class.

Kurukshetra: Open Floor with Alex Diaz Get help with your social dancing with feedback and tips from the master himself. This will be an interactive session, with a lot of hands-on exercises. Both novices and experienced dancers will benefit from this. [Pre-requisite: Salsa Level 1, must know salsa and be able to dance socially]

Gurukul: Introduction to Salsa This two-hour workshop will walk the complete novice through the fundamentals of the dance form, with a strong focus on lead-follow as it pertains to Salsa. [Pre-requisite: No pre-quisite. Current students wanting a refresher will also benefit from this]

Salsa-Swara: Musicality: Anatomy of a typical Salsa Song || How to dance Musically This is a two-part workshop where we take the dancer through salsa music theory and then have a series of partner-work sequences to demonstrate the application. [Pre-requisite: Open Level, Salsa Fundamentals recommended as a pre-requisite. Beginners and Novices will also benefit from this workshop]

Ritmo-Natyam: Intermediate Partner-work with musicality (Salsa Level 1 pre-requisite) This workshop will walk the intermediate level student through a slightly more advanced partner-work techniques that may be applied socially on the dance floor. This workshop will build on the Musicality interactive section from Day 1, with a strong focus on dancing musically. [Pre-requisite: Salsa Level 1, must know salsa and be able to dance socially]

Spin-Kala: Latin Turn Techniques (Spin) || Latin Body Movement This is a two-part workshop series that focuses on core techniques that will make you a stronger dancer. The workshop will cover both spot turns and travelling turns. Body movement will give you coordination, control, and the ability to flow during the dance giving the ‘Sabor’ (flavor/style) that is an integral part of Latin dancing. [Pre-requisite: Open Level, Salsa Fundamentals recommended as a pre-requisite. Beginners and Novices will also benefit from this workshop]
